Backpack Training hike is NEXT WEEKEND 6/13 - 6/14. Got straightened out on dates everyone agreed to. This is very important. We will have a pack shakedown. This will be a challenging section and expectations will be set this Sunday as to what to expect in New Hampshire. Fitness is important, and we are six weeks away and there is still some time to get in shape!!!Meeting Sunday at 5pm at the church. Be there!!!

Crew Meeting this Sunday at 5pm. Next hike weekend of 6/19 is a very important backpacking weekend! We did not get permits for Washington or Montana so we will be looking at backpacking in New Hampshire as our backup. This part of the A.T. is challenging with expansive views and should NOT be taken lightly. We also have an opportunity to hike some of the presidential mountains so we need to plan accordingly. We only had two people show up for the practice weekend this past weekend and that is definitely a concern heading into a super adventure.Time to regroup and make sure everyone that plans on going is prepared!!!

Ok, everyone going on the backpack hike this weekend please meet at the church at 7:30am on Saturday. Josh will check everyone's packs and then you will be on your way. Don't forget the essentials on the checklist. Also bring a meal that you need hot water for (like a Mountain House) for dinner Saturday evening so you get some stove practice.
